All orders are hand-cut, so, usually, your package will leave our facility within 7-10 business days from the date you order. Often, it’s shipped sooner than that. Bulk meat orders (1/2 cows, whole cows, 1/4 bundles, 1/2 hogs, etc.) will require a longer lead time, general rule of thumb is 4-6 weeks from your date of order. Our customer service team will keep you updated on your order status after it ships.

How Does Meat Stay Fresh During Shipment?
Your meat will come in a boxed, thick-walled, styrofoam cooler that has been packed with dry ice to ensure product stays cold during shipment. Dry ice dissipates over the period of your shipment, but the gases keep the food cold post-dissipation.

"I order this box thinking we were going to get a "good variety" of items. I feel we were cheated...2 packs of bacon, 2 packs of sausage, 5 packs of hamburger, a marinated skirt steak and a block of cheese. Not what i was expecting. And when it was delivered, the bacon wasnt even frozen. Maybe a week worth of meat. We were expecting it to be more than what was in the box and a better variety. Packaging wasnt as well as when i ordered a half cow from simpsons. It was very disappointing. I hope my next order is better, we will not order a CSA box in the future due to this bad experience."

"I ordered one of these boxes thinking it was going to be worth the $150 value...the only thing that came in this box was burger, two packs of pork sausage, two packs of bacon (which wasnt even frozen when delivered), a small block of cheese and a skirt steak marinated in someyhing called asada. It was very disappointing to see what received! Not a very good variety and i doubt that it equals $150 value. I definitely will not order one of these again."
