Your half cow will come in a boxed, thick-walled, styrofoam cooler that has been packed with dry ice to ensure product stays cold during shipment. Dry ice dissipates over the period of your shipment, but the gases keep the food cold post-dissipation.

"We feel we were shorted in meat. For instance, a half cow purchase typically includes two packages of short ribs, each containing 3-4 ribs, and two packages of spare ribs. We received only 1 package of 4 ribs. We feel we were shorted in steaks as well. With a typical 1/2 cow yielding approximately 45-60 steaks, we received approximately 34-35 steaks. While the description of the purchase did not include soup bones, suet, organ meat, or tail, these items would have been appreciated in the purchase. Finally, the vacuum packs are not air tight and frequently leak when thawing."
