Simpson's Meats raises beef cattle on pasture, on purpose, having thoughtfully considered every detail of our cattle's environment from pasture to plate. Simpson's Farm in Athens, Tennessee is a model for humane handling and sustainability in our region of the country being a GAP Step-4 rated farm for animal welfare best practices. We like to refer to our cattle as "pasture-centered" meaning that our cattle are always allowed to roam freely, never being confined to a dry lot of any kind. Our partner cattle growers throughout the South are committed to "never, ever" allowing our harvested beef to have received antibiotics or hormones or any feed additives.

What are our pastures like?
Wide-open, sweet grassy pastures providing natural habitats for healthy cattle to thrive in. All of our partner cattle producers throughout the South have signed affidavits committing their family farms to the same quality protocols that Simpson's Farm has forged for over 130 years. At Simpson's, we consider ourselves grass farmers first and foremost and our attention to detail in the environment of our cattle is a legacy that we proudly continue.
